She brings a wealth of experience in international trade, corporate governance, and business law to assist cooperatives and other purpose-driven entities in navigating legal and business complexities. Her expertise spans mergers and acquisitions, strategic alliances, joint ventures, and contract formation—skills honed through her years as in-house counsel for a commodities trading company, as well as through roles at prestigious financial institutions and regulatory bodies such as JPMorgan, Pivoton Capital, Northwestern Mutual, Holborn Assets Dubai, and FINRA.
Gabriela’s commitment to helping underserved communities is reflected in her pro bono work with the DC Bar Small Business Clinic, where she provides essential legal services to small businesses. This dedication aligns seamlessly with Jason Wiener | p.c.’s mission to foster equitable, sustainable business models. She is also a staunch advocate for immigration rights, strongly believing in the importance of legal access for all.
While at Northwestern University Law School, Gabriela served as the Note Editor for the Journal of Human Rights and collaborated with Kellogg Business School and the Feinberg School of Medicine to co-found innovative start-ups in medical device development and legal tech using Blockchain. Her collaborative, cross-disciplinary approach reflects her commitment to fostering innovation within the cooperative and social enterprise sectors.
